Spectrum Law Office Program from Hartford is specifically designed to meet the needs of small law firms with from one to nine attorneys.

It provides both Spectrum Business Owner's coverage and optional Lawyers Professional Liability insurance in one convenient program. Hartford is rated "A+ XV" by A.M. Best Company.

Preferred Risks

1 - 9 attorneys
No claim frequency or severity
Minimum two methods of docket
Use of engagement, non-engagement and disengagement letters
Detailed conflict avoidance system
Regular continuing legal education attendance
Billing procedures and minimal fee suits
Adequate support staff
Back-up attorney for sole practitioners

Limitations on Area of Practice

Over 50% Plaintiff
Over 50% Family Law

Standard Declinations

10 or more attorneys
Annual gross billings in excess of $500,000 per attorney
Areas of practice including:
- Class Action / Mass Tort
- Entertainment Law
- Environmental
- Financial Planning / Investment Counseling
- Intellectual Property / Trademark
- Mergers & Acquisitions
- Real Estate / Title � Commercial
- Securities Law
- Venture Capital
Any Suit(s) for Fees filed by your firm within last five years
Any Claims/Incidents filed against your firm within the last five years
Firm does not utilize Dual Docket Control System
Firm does not utilize engagement & non-engagement letters on a regular basis
One or more firm attorneys have been disciplined or denied right to practice
